Week 25!

So yesterday was officially our start to week 25...or is it the end of 25 and start of 26th? I'm so confused by all of the dates and so on...there are really only a few important dates that I can think of...the first important date, in my book, was the day we found out our lives were changing forever...Dec 17. Second was Christmas Eve 2009, when we got to officially tell our families that they were going to be meeting someone very special in just 9 short months. Then was the long wait until 1/6 for my first OB appt...and then another 2 day wait for the first glimpse into the brand new life that we'd created. Amazing experience...but then began the waiting game AGAIN. Finally at an appt on 1/22 we heard the little heartbeat the first time. Probably the best sound I've ever heard...and since then no sound has been so sweet. Then we waited...and waited...and finally March 26th came around and Nick and I went to our 19 week ultrasound and found out that this little life growing so very quickly was a boy. Nick cried. I cried. THAT was another wonderful day. Then yet again another wait for April 20th and a third ultrasound...and this time I got to see my son yawn. I'm wondering what he has to be tired about, but it was a beautiful sight none the less! Then last Friday, April 30, was the first time I got to play games with him. I was laying in bed and hadn't felt him move much, so I pushed on my tummy...and low and behold I get a fast, strong kick back...ok...let's try it again...and sure enough there's another! We played for 10 min and then he got tired and rolled over and went to sleep. Of course, Nick still hasn't felt him kick because every time he tries the baby decides to stay still.

That brings us up to today...which is week 25...or 26 however you count! I think today I might have felt my first hiccups...either that or he was on a kick rampage for about 5 min...then again later! Next week is our first OB appt that starts our 2 week visits...which freaks me out a LOT. We're already going every 2 weeks??? I don't think it's time for this...but the doctor says yes, so now we'll be there more often. The countdown has begun, and he'll be here in 15 weeks. I'm so not ready! Poor guy right now doesn't have a bedroom...or a bed...or a carseat! See...I'm really not ready!!!! But we're working on the room...after this weekend's Scentsy party I'll have nothing else on my agenda so I can spend my weekends emptying his room and then starting to paint! Anyone who has skills in the moving furniture or painting or any other skills and would like to help, let me know! :)

Well, I think that's enough of an update right now...I'm off to see if I can convince Nick of tacos and spaghetti for dinner...he's started to learn to help me with cravings or I'll just keep requesting them...so I might be having a taco with spaghetti for dinner...not mixed together, but a taco instead of garlic bread works for me! :)

Hope everyone is doing well!
