Pregnancy update...I do have gestational diabetes...which we've kept under control with medication so that is good...but it also means that we're being induced at 39 weeks just to make sure he doesn't get too big. It also means I go in for non-stress tests twice a week now. We get hooked up to a monitor and watch the baby's heartbeat and for contractions for 20 min, then I get a mini ultrasound to make sure his fluids are all good. So far, we're perfect! They get everything they need from the heartrate monitor in the first 5 min, so we just listen for another 15 min because that's the length of the test. I love that he does great and gives everything they want in the first 5 min! Then his ultrasound is always good..although he's a stubborn little man and makes it difficult for the poor girls. They have to get 4 pockets of fluid with no body parts or umbilical cord in them...well he seems to know this and puts his big foot in each time they're ready to measure. We went through 3 different girls last time...little stinker! But every time his fluids are great, as long as they can get him! Tomorrow morning we have our normal NST, but also a regular ultrasound to see how big he is. We had another ultrasound a month ago and he was 4 lbs 9 oz...so we'll see what a difference a month makes! I can't wait!
Here are some pictures mom took at the NST she came to...I feel HUGE....lol
