We've had some recent additions to the house...I added a garden in the backyard and we finally got some furniture in the basement! Memorial day had some great sales and we got these couches for basically a steal! The chair and entertainment center were already in the basement, so all we had to do was add in more seating and we've got a great family room! I'm so excited!! :) Plus my garden is coming along, so far everything I've planted seems to be doing well, well except for one tomato and one cucumber plant. But I guess a couple of casualties are to be expected, right???
Our Couches:

My garden:
From left to right: Watermelon, Snap Peas, hot peppers, green peppers, lemon cucumbers, reg. cucumbers and tomatoes
My topsy turvy with another tomato plant
Other news...I have accepted a position at
SPS again, which I am excited about, but it doesn't start until June 22
nd. Looks like I get more time to get things done at the house, right?!? :) It's a good thing to have a job. This year hasn't started out the greatest..being laid off twice sucks...but it will all be better! I just wish I'd been able to get to Kentucky for my cousin's graduation. I went last year, and had every intention of going this year, but being unemployed has really put a damper on our travel plans. :( Hopefully with
SPS we'll get back on track, and be able to make a trip next Feb/March...let's pray! If I can lose my weight we'll go on a cruise...so that's been my goal! :)

what a cute cute way you have your basement now. the new sofas look wonderful - & you HAVE had the little "discussion" with Shay that these are PPL sofas, not DOGGIE sofas, riight?
congrats on the garden, I SO want a "topsy turvey", too! I saw the informercial & it looks like a wonderful way to garden! Yay, Christy!!
Yay, Christy!! some more - great goal, - the Cruise - to set, what a wonderful reward! Just take some cruise pix and tape them everywhere that temptation may hit, PLUS in good places to remind yourself to do positive behaviors, like right by where the doggie leashes hang up - to encourage the walkings! Shay & Jasmine are SO looking forwards to that!
So happy to hear you have a job awaiting your arrival, that is such a relief, I know! LOVES!!! <3
love the couches!!! and i'm jealous of your garden... ours will be done soon... jodie and i are disappointed that we have to go with full grown plants, we wanted to do seeds, but missed that by a few MONTHS! haha
and i'm pretty stoked that you'll be working here!! hey i actually get to see you more than once a year! haha
