Random updates!

Wow, it hasn't been that long since my last post, but SO much has happened!! I met with my advisor yesterday at school, and she gave me the list of classes I need for my Associates degree, which will then transfer to the University of Utah for the remainder of my Psychology degree! Going part time, 2-3 classes a semester, will have me finished in 2.5-3 years she said, depending on how I tested for math. As you all know from my last post, math is not my strong point. So I left her office wondering if I wanted to take more time to study, then risk getting into a higher math than I was ready for and struggling, or just going with what I know and seeing where that got me. Well this morning I got up feeling like I just had to get my tests out of the way. So this afternoon I went to the Redwood Road campus and took my tests. And I scored really really well! I tested into English 1010, which is Intro to Writing and will teach me how to write college papers, so that's good...but I also tested into Math 1020!!! At first I thought, oh that must be the low math, but the girl who was administering the test said that college level math starts at 1010, so I did well! I'm not below pre-algebra!!! WOO HOO! So now I get to pick classes! Since I'll only need 2 Math classes (1020 and then Statistics or Quantum Reasoning) I'm going to put math off for a while. I know once I get to the U I'll have to take an advanced Statistics class, so I'd like to keep my math towards the end of my Associates so that it's fresh on my mind when I transfer to the U.












WOW! So that's all of my school news so far! I have to wait 24 hours to let my scores update in the system, then I can add classes! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! Then class starts August 20th! Now I just have to convince the husband that I need new school clothes....HA HA!!!

I can't believe June is almost over! Arwen will be 3 in less than a week! I am excited for her birthday because I think I'm going to take her to see Kung Fu Panda...she LOVES getting "Foo Poo Panda" happy meals, ha ha. Hopefully it'll work out and she and I will have fun!! Then my mom and Ted come home on the 2nd!! I can't wait to see mom, even though it hasn't been that long since I saw her! It feels like forever!!
